 Ecuador and Galapagos Travel Airports
There are no direct flights from outside of Ecuador, the main flights run from Quito and Guayaquil through TAME who operates two flights daily to the airport of Baltra or South Seymour, which is very close to Santa Cruz and twice a week to the airport of Puerto Baquerizo Moreno in San Cristóbal.

The costs in the high season is US$389,16 (Quito - Galapagos - Quito). US$ 344,36 (Guayaquil - Galapagos - Guayaquil). In the low season (1 May - 14 June and 15 September - 31 October) US$ 333,16 (Quito - Galapagos - Quito). US$ 299,56 (Guayaquil - Galapagos - Guayaquil). The ticket is valid for 21 days.

Both Islands Santa Cruz and San Cristóbal are only some 90 Km away from each other. Once in Galapagos there are frequent inter flights between both islands and also to Puerto Villamil in Isabela island.

Baltra - Santa Cruz.- At the airport there are frequent inter-island flights for if you wish to fly to Isabela for example, as well as a frequent bus service and taxis. There are two buses in Baltra: One to the port (muelle) taking some 12 minutes and the other goes to Canal de Itabaca (the channel between Baltra and Santa Cruz), taking some other 17 minutes to the Chanel (US$2.00). Once you arrive, you have to cross through a ferry (US$0.50) to get another bus in the other side on Santa Cruz, which will take you to Puerto Ayora (in 40 minutes). The cooperative bus company CITTEG is well known in Santa Cruz and takes you back to the airport in Baltra (ask locally). To get to the airport (in Baltra) always buy the ticket in advance. Most hotels are able to help you with these matters.

Puerto Baquerizo Moreno.- The airport in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno is a short walk away from town.

There is also a boat service to and from various islands but is more infrequent and can depend on the right numbers to fill to capacity.

Note: A 15% student discount is given with an ISIC card. For full details see Tame offices in Quito and in Guayaquil. No discounts are available to foreigners
 Ecuador and Galapagos Travel Sea
If you want a rustic once in a life time experience and don't wish to arrive the conventional way by plane, there are several small cargo carriers that departs bimonthly from Guayaquil via Muelle Sur Naval at calle K on a 3 day journey for around $180 or up including food and bunk bed facilities but do be on the look out for thievery and keep your items locked at all times in case.

The park entry upon arrival however cannot be avoided and is still $100.00 subject to change payable in cash.

Other vessels sailing this route include: Paola (Colón 103 and Malecón, Tel. 2524325, Fax: 2524525) and Marina 91 (Chile and Urdaneta, Tel/Fax: 2397370).

Also check with The Virgen de Monserrat Av. Dr. Elias Muñoz Vicuña and Isla Santa Cruz, Tel. 2296785, Fax: 2399475.

By all means check prior to sailing for departure times with the above options although final negotiations often are made in person on the boat where you may also make a final check on the type of vessel available before making your decision
